Clock and Date Display

How the clock and date work on the Inglenook screen, and how to switch between 12-hour and 24-hour format.

The clock sits at the top of the Inglenook screen and is always visible. It shows the current time in large text, with the day and date beneath it — for example, “Sunday, 22 February”.

Tapping the clock

Tapping the clock opens the phone’s default clock app, where your parent can check alarms or set a new one.

Switching between 12-hour and 24-hour format

By default, Inglenook uses the phone’s system time format. To change it:

  1. Tap the gear icon to open Settings.
  2. Tap Display.
  3. Under Clock, toggle between 12-hour and 24-hour format.

Most people in the UK are comfortable with either — choose whichever your parent prefers.
