Switching Back to the Original Home App
How to restore your phone's original home screen if you want to stop using Inglenook.
If you’d like to go back to the phone’s original home screen, you can do so at any time through Android’s settings. Inglenook will stay installed in case you want to return to it later.
Steps
- Open the phone’s Settings app (not Inglenook Settings — the phone’s main Settings).
- Go to Apps → Default apps → Home app.
- Select your previous home app (often listed as the phone manufacturer’s name, e.g. “One UI Home” on Samsung, or “Pixel” on Google Pixel).
The change takes effect immediately — press the home button to confirm it’s working.
If you’re not sure which home app you had before
The most common defaults are:
| Phone brand | Default home app |
|---|---|
| Samsung | One UI Home |
| Google Pixel | Pixel home app |
| OnePlus | OnePlus home app |
| Motorola | Moto home app |
If you’re still not sure, look for anything labelled “Home” or “Home app” in the list.
Uninstalling Inglenook
Once you’ve switched back to your original home screen, you can uninstall Inglenook from the Play Store or via Settings → Apps → Inglenook → Uninstall.
