Switching Between Light and Dark Mode

Inglenook supports light mode, dark mode, and a system-follow option that automatically matches the phone’s current theme.

Changing the appearance

1. Tap the gear icon to open Settings.
2. Tap Display.
3. Under Appearance, choose one of three options:
   • Light — always uses the light theme
   • Dark — always uses the dark theme
   • System — follows whatever the phone is set to (the default)

The home screen updates immediately when you make a selection.

Which should I choose?

System is the default and works well for most people — the phone will automatically switch to dark mode at night if the phone is configured to do so.

Dark mode can be easier on the eyes in low-light conditions, such as a bedside table phone check during the night.

Light mode tends to be easier to read in bright sunlight or for users who find dark backgrounds harder to navigate.
